It as been around for years but the techniques involved have changed.
For instance META is no longer used by search engines that much today.
Search engines are using fresh content and highly relevant keywords to index your web pages.

No No No, Meta tags are still being used by search engines. We believe so that search engines are not considering meta tags at all. Not like this. The truth is search engines are still considering all the factors on every website but not giving too much important as compared to title tag.
